XXX Porn

Bike Porn that is...

Many people nowadays are thinking of carbon race bikes, carbon tubulars, carbon bars, carbon, carbon, carbon. Blah, blah blah..

My thoughts are squarely fixed on two metals Titanium and Steel. With the purpose of the rig being designed for Vitamin G rides, long reach brakes, and fenders. Not that I'm shying away from 'black magic' it's just my ideas of riding contain the environment in which my tires are most in contact with. The one's which really bring the shit eatin grin to my face rides, those that I really think twice about it but still do it anyway. Often heard rides that end in 'The crusty way'.

Oh, you want to know what bikes are causing my XXX Bike Porn thoughts...
The first.
The second.
The third taken to the extreme.

Indy Fab has been at it for a few years now. If I was to go with them I would get the 953 Stainless Steel. Add in the BB30 shell for sure. Possibly go with the steel fork.

Here in lies the problem, I have in my possession one sweet Edge CX fork. (told ya'll I wasn't washing my hands of carbon) I really don't want to get rid of it, but do I design a bike around it or sell it? The answer to that problem really lies in the fact of a custom build. Paul's brakes can resolve that problem, just have to get one cant version, one road version.

Problem 2: Why limit my custom build to IF. There are so many others to check out. Man the thoughts are overwhelming.

Problem 3: Paint, if I go with steel/custom I have to paint it. The colors are picked out. Can you guess them? Do I paint the fenders? I'm making this difficult for myself.

Problem 4: Go with SRAM or Shimano? Really leaning towards Force gruppo. But I'm really familiar with Shimano since thats the system I've ridden on the road and cross since I started doing this stuff.

Problem 5: Wheels. Go with a standard crusty build? Or go with a set of these. Damn I forgot about these too. Oh I'm getting dizzy.

Everything else is in concrete. Every contact point is spoken for with no exceptions!

If it's good enough for Andy Hampsten, its good enough for me.

What is your XXX Bike Porn thoughts of?
